A restaurant in front of the Bosporus Strait, Istanbul

It was ideal location of having lunch at Anadolu kavagi. The restaurant is located in front of the pier and is facing to the Bosporus Strait. Sun light was also perfect with clear blue sky.

The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge (Second Bosporus Bridge)

The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge (The Second Bosporus Bridge)
It is 1,510 m long with a deck width of 39 m. The distance between the towers (main span) is 1,090 m and their height over road level is 105 m. The clearance of the bridge from sea level is 64 m.

This bridge is 14th longest suspension bridge in the world. (it was 6th longest when it was completed in 3 July 1988)

The bridge was designed by Freeman Fox & Partners (British firm, now it was acquired and renamed as Hyder Consulting) as well as the Bosporus Bridge.

Freeman Fox & Partners built an international reputation through the 20th century in bridge and highway projects. One I would emphasize that they designed Victoria Falls Bridge completed in 1905 on the Zambezi River just right down stream of the Victoria Falls.

Cite de Pera, Beyoglu

An amazing space.
Cite de Pera、元は住宅だったようだが今はレストランや商店がテナントとして入居している。2階はは事務所だろうか。

Istiklal Caddesi, July 2008

A night scene of Istiklal Street. Actually it was crowded every night.

An Old Building in Twilight

Istiklal Street in the Twilight

I just passed through in front of Konak restaurant on the way to supermarket. The windows reflected twilight time.

Tunel tram station

Tunel tram station.
The tram can be seen a little on the right side. A funicular railway which connects between Tunel and Karakoy is just behind of Tunel Tram station, on the right side building.

The Galata Tower bathed in the sun set light

I went to a supermarket to buy some foods next to the Galata Tower, and the tower was bathed in the sun set light.

The Golden Horn

I walked to the office in Pera, Beyogul in the morning and I overlooked the Golden Horn as well as I looked it every day last year.
