LADA in Yerevan

LADA is still common car in Armenia and many of taxi cars are LADA instead of western and Japanese cars. This LADA is privately owned car with black colour parked at my apartment parking area.

DHL Cars in Yerevan

DHL office is located on the route of my commuting and yellow coloured cars, representing DHL colour, are quite distinguished.

Armenian Girls in Central Yerevan

In summer, girls expose their beauties even on the street. These three girls are typical Armenian young women in Yerevan. Actually they are waiting for marshtka (mini-bus) after their work.

Ads on the Street, Yerevan

Large scale advertisements appear on the street in everyday street scene, especially cellular companies are active to compete each other among 3 (VivaCell-MTS, Beeline, Orange).

North Avenue in Central Yerevan

Uncompleted central commercial district in Yerevan called North Avenue. It is opened partially, some ground floor tenants only, most of upper floors are unfurnished yet. I have heard that most of them are sold but how can I believe that saturated number of tenant in this district and proposed tenant are international brand shops. I can not imagine how they survive within small market. Anyway some shops shows their intention to be opened soon like this.

Antonov An 225 in Frankfurt Hahn (2009)

An 225 worked hard for a project in Yerevan.

World Record Freight by World's largest aircraft, Antonov An-225

The generator which is 187.6tonnes, was transported to Yerevan, Armenia from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport on 11th of August 2009. The airport claimed that it was heaviest single-piece cargo ever transported by air. The aircraft was Antonov Airlines’ An-225 Mriya (dream in Ukraine) powered by six Ivchenko Progress D-18 engines and maximum loading capacity is 250 tonnes. There is only one An-225 in operation now.

Segafredo Zanetti in Yerevan, Armenia

A new cafe, Segafredo Zanetti, at Amiryan Street just next the Republic Square, next to Marriott hotel. The large window reflects an under construction building which is suspended the work after world economic crisis.
